Oliver didn’t really want his photo taken this day but he was being too cute (ok goofy) lying on the floor not to snap a few photos. So glad I did…
Took a few photos of Oliver in the front yard. Was testing a old film camera with some Ilford Black and White film and decided to make a few photos using my DSLR as well. Love these quick and fun snaps of Oliver just being a kid. These are some of the best memories that […]
It was a great summer for sports in our family. I’ve been playing Masters lacrosse in Brampton for the past 5+ years and this year I played for the Brampton representative team, winning the provincial championships for the first time. Oliver also played lacrosse for the first time and enjoyed it immensely. It was so […]
Canada Day is always such a big celebration day with us. We’ve been a part of the Rosedale Neighbourhood Street Party for a couple of years now – celebrating Canada Day with friends and neighbours. Oliver especially loves it because there are so many fun activities for the kids to do: jump on the trampoline, […]
Twice a year, Oliver’s school has a “fun fair” to raise funds and promote community involvement. This was our first time going and Oliver certainly had a blast. He loved talking and playing with all his friends and we enjoyed mingling with the other parents. I’m sure we all look forward to the next. Cheers! […]
Oliver loves to set up little picnics for us to eat at. It’s actually quite cute and he’s really good it! He’ll probably be a great “entertainer of guests” when he gets older, just like his Mum. Oliver also has shown some interest in taking photographs. He holds the camera well, even though it’s a […]
Easter weekend. Good Friday to be exact. We were about to head to Grandma and Grandpa’s for a nice day and early dinner to celebrate Easter. Oliver and I had a bit of time to kill as Dana was still getting ready. For whatever reason on this day, Oliver was being incredibly cute in front […]
Oliver surprised me big time this year by showing an interest in the sport that I love: lacrosse. I played all through my younger years and still play on a men’s masters team in Brampton. Oliver has come to a couple of my games but was more interested in running up and down between the […]
Here are just a couple of images from the archive that I forgot to post (tisk-tisk). In a brief moment, Oliver gave me a couple of great smiles for the camera, then he was on to goofy-town. It happens a lot these days so I’ll take the moments where I can. Cheers! t.
It’s no secret Oliver LOVES pancakes. We’ve been doing “pancake Sundays” now at our house for more than three years! I love having a little family tradition that is just our own. Having it based around yummy, delicious food, well that’s just a bonus! Cheers! t.
Oliver’s Grandmother was celebrating her 65th birthday this year so we had a little party for her, complete with her closest relatives. We had wonderful Ukrainian food, lots of presents and great laughs. Oh, and there was cake – how could we forget that? Cheers! t.
It’s no secret I like to hibernate in the winter. Dana is the same way. But when we had Oliver, we realized that one or both of us would have to start venturing out during the winter months with him. And to see how excited he gets to play in the snow, how could you […]
This year we celebrated Christmas with the Ruprechts a couple of days earlier. We had a great time opening gifts, exchanging compliments and stories, and having a great dinner. Unfortunately, this was ultimately the start of what would become a month long sickness at our house which eventually crippled our Christmas break/New Year’s plans completely…
We had a little party for Oliver’s 4th birthday. Nothing huge, just a couple friends, some games, treats, and presents. It was a cowboy-themed event, and the kids seemed to really enjoy the activities Dana planned out for them. Definitely a highlight for me was making s’mores in our fireplace…
Hallowe’en is always fun around our house. Dana really decorates the place up right. Oliver loves to get dressed up as seen in our previous posts (Oliver’s first Hallowe’en, Oliver’s second Hallowe’en, & Oliver’s third Hallowe’en) and this year was no exception. Oliver originally wanted…
Downey’s Farm, it’s a great place for kids and adults alike. We tend to go once a year, when the pumpkins are all out because they really do it up for the kids. It’s great to go back to the same location…
Just another couple of shots of Oliver from around the house. He certainly loves his scooter! He also enjoys doing something silly for the Flip Camera and then watching it playback on the screen. The photos below are from an earlier…
More bumming around the house. More Oliver eating and getting it all over himself. Trying some new angles and some new processing techniques. Some I’m liking, others won’t see the light of day! LOL! The moral of this story: Any way you look at it – I’m posting more fun pictures…
We don’t eat out on our back deck nearly as much as we should. It’s a beautiful spot, and the weather has been so picture-perfect this summer that it’s a shame we haven’t spent more time out there. We hope to remedy that in the coming years.
But for now, on this long weekend in May…
If I remember correctly, this was our Mother’s Day celebration. Oh and boy did we have fun! The day started with some fun playtime in the living room. We then got ready and went to the Sunset Grill for some brunch. It is our very favourite place to have brunch and the staff all know and love Oliver. He is such a charmer, that’s for sure…
More goofing around at home, over a great pancake breakfast (as most typical Sundays begin in our household).
It seems that every time Oliver and I are goofing around the house – the camera comes out. I guess that’s the life of a photographer and a photographer’s son. On this particular day, Oliver played with the iPad, ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and we made popcorn and watched a movie. Sounds like…
I had been growing my hair for quite a while. I thought that I wanted it longer as I was tired of the buzzed head that I had been sporting for the last few years. But there comes a point, the “in-between” point where you just can’t live with it any longer. If you can push through that point, you can get the hair growth…
It’s no secret that Oliver loves chocolate. I have no idea where he gets it from (Dana) but I would aptly call this post of images: “The Many (chocolate) Faces of Oliver.” I think you’ll especially enjoy his “growling” face…
