It’s no secret that we love taking road-trips. Long or short, multiple day or just an afternoon, it’s a cheap way to get out and spend some time together as a family. We sometimes have a destination, others we just get in the car and drive.
On this particular weekend, we decided to take a run up to Fergus Ontario. Fergus will always have a special place in our heart because it reminds us so much of Scotland.
We found a tiny hole in the wall that served some of the best diner food we’d had in a while. Oliver even tried some battered halibut for the first time and LOVED it! They also served deep-fried pickles and if you want to know the way to our hearts, just serve us some of that fried goodness.
We took our food and had a little picnic by the river.
We of course went back for ice cream 🙂
Cheers!
