In early December, we celebrated both Oliver’s 7th birthday and Julia’s 9th birthday together with the rest of the Ruprecht clan. Since Oliver’s birthday is the end of November and Julia’s is the end of December, picking a date to celebrate somewhere in the middle of the month (before Christmas preparations get really crazy) is definitely key.

The evening was filled with great eats and conversations, and also a secret Santa game. It was too much fun to see everyone pining over the gift that they wanted while other family members stole it from their grasp.

Oliver got what he wanted (a really big fluffy blanket) despite it almost getting stolen a couple of times by his Grand Dad. In the end, his cute smile and pouty lip prevailed.
